AN appeal has been launched by police following a "disturbance" in the Southside of Glasgow.

Cops responded to the Carmunnock Road area of the city at around 4pm on Thursday, September 16.

Police confirmed two black Mercedes vehicles were seen in the area, along with a "number of men" reportedly causing the disturbance.

Officers are now appealing for information and witnesses to the incident.

Detective Sergeant Graham Clarke, from Greater Glasgow CID, said: "This incident took place in a very public area and would likely have had a large number of witnesses.

"We’re therefore asking for anyone with information to come forward.

"If you saw the disturbance take place, or have possible phone, CCTV or dashcam footage, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2407 of September 16.

"Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
