SCOTLAND has recorded over 6,100 new cases of Covid-19 and 27 reported deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the latest figures.
The Scottish Government confirmed that 6,116 people have reported positive test results for Covid-19 since Friday.
This is an increase from yesterday's figure of 5,529 new cases.
A further 73,358 new tests for Covid-19 were conducted that reported results. Of these 9% were positive, a slight decrease from yesterday's positivity rate of 9.9%.
In the last 24 hours, 27 deaths of someone who tested positive for Covid-19 within the previous 28 days were registered.

There were 1,052 people in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19, with 99 patients in intensive care.
Scottish vaccination figures now stand at 4,151,735 people having received their first dose of a covid vaccination and 3,802,183 people having received their second dose.
Public Health Scotland notes that there may be some variability in the number of new cases and tests reported in the last 24 hours due to a backlog of data being processed following technical issues affecting reporting on Thursday, September 16.
