A THEME park near Glasgow will be hosting a frightening experience this year.

M&D’s annual Darktober season kicks off this weekend with the launch of its famous Anarchy outdoor horror experience.

Running on various dates and times from September 24 until October 31, visitors will step into an immersive apocalyptic world with the mission to safely find their way through a maze, outrunning the threatening characters along the way.

Younger family members can also enjoy the Pumpkin Outdoor Festival, featuring story-telling, games, a pumpkin train, the chance to pick your own pumpkin, and drive-in movies including Hocus Pocus and Goosebumps.

Jensen Taylor Connelly said: “This is one of our favourite times of year in the lead up to Hallowe’en when the days are getting darker and we’re looking for some fun to mark the new season.

“Anarchy is a fast-paced experience with special effects that are definitely not for the faint-hearted but in contrast, the Pumpkin Outdoor Festival is a great day out for all the family.”

Visitors are reminded to dress appropriately for the outdoor experiences. Tickets can be purchased here.
