NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde announced it will be offering Covid-19 vaccinations to those aged over 12 as of tomorrow.

The health board confirmed that some additional clinics have been set up this week following the announcement that young people who are over the age of 12 will be offered a dose of vaccine.

Anyone in this age group can attend for a first dose.

Those who have already received their first and require a second are asked to ensure there are 56 days between doses.

NHSGGC notes that not everyone aged 16 and 17 requires a second dose.

As part of the move to the next stage of their vaccination programme, which includes Covid-19 boosters and flu, the health board will be operating a mainly appointment arrangement.

Drop-in centres will continue to be available and details will be on NHSGGC's website.

Making an appointment is encouraged where possible as the capacity for drop-ins at some sites may be reduced.

Drop-in centres open tomorrow ( Wednesday, September 22) and their opening times:

  • Carmichael Hall, Eastwood (12pm-7pm)
  • Hub Community Centre, Clydebank (12pm-7pm)
  • Partick Burgh Hall (12pm-7pm)
