A NEW film about one of the most iconic weekends in British music history is set to air this weekend.

The documentary marks the 25th anniversary of the landmark Oasis gig at Knebworth estate when the band played to nearly 300,000 people over two nights.

Now, Oasis Knebworth 1996 follows the story of the historic festival through interviews with fans who attended as well as band members.

Glasgow Times:

Oasis always had a special connection with Scotland after they were spotted by legendary music manager Alan McGee in King Tuts in 1993.
