Although we're well aware that our city is full of A list standard restaurants and bars, we can't help but feel a little starstruck whenever we see photos of celebrities dining out in Glasgow.

Do you share a favourite pasta dish with an influencer? Or maybe a famous actor has recently discovered your go-to spot for the perfect pakora?

Read on for a list of celebrity sighting hotspots to find out.

Kcal Kitchen

It's no surprise that celebrities flock to this city centre health food joint for a nutritious meal when filming nearby.

Serving everything from protein pancakes to 'Not so fried chicken' Kcal Kitchen has been visited by celebrities like Outlander's Sam Heughan and Narcos actor Boyd Holbrook who both opted for a guilt-free takeaway.

The Hanoi Bike Shop

Glaswegian Queen B fans were thrilled when she posted a picture of this very easily identifiable wall back in 2014.

At the time, Emily Mackay, manager of the Hanoi Bike Shop, would not confirm if the star dined at the restaurant but she did say: "We do get a lot of famous people in the restaurant but we would like to respect their anonymity.

"She didn't get that picture by accident though."

She added: "It is great who would not want Beyonce putting your phone number on her Instagram.

"It is a bit of fun and great exposure for the restaurant."

Mr Singh's India

Popular West End Indian restaurant Mr Singh's India might just take the crown for the most celebrity sightings in Glasgow.

A quick flick through their Facebook photos is like a who's who of Hollywood featuring everyone from Orlando Bloom, to Kanye West to the Big Yin himself.

The Rogano

This city centre seafood restaurant has always had a reputation as a celebrity hotspot having served the likes of Rod Stewart, Frank Sinatra and Mick Jagger since opening in 1935.

Staff were delighted when Scottish actor Ewan McGregor and co-star Jonny Lee Miller stopped by for a meal in between filming scenes for Trainspotting 2 in 2016.

Further back in 1979 Hollywood royalty Elizabeth Taylor caused a media frenzy as she made her way to enjoy a meal at this Glasgow institution.

La Lanterna West End

Football legends love to visit the West End branch of this authentic Italian restaurant which opened in 2017.

Sir Alex Ferguson, former rangers player Bobby Watson and striker Jermain Defoe have all been snapped there looking very happy to have enjoyed a meal from head chef Luca Conreno.

It's not just sporty stars who love La Lanterna though. Legendary Scottish actor Peter Mullen and much loved comedian Kevin Bridges also stopped in for a bite back in 2019.

Ashton Lane

Although Ashton lane is home to a number of restaurants and bars, we've decided to include it because of the high number of celebrities who have been spotted wandering down its cobbles.

Most recently Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge was seen enjoying an afternoon on the lane while in town filming the latest Indiana Jones movie.

Rangers-daft actor Grado was also snapped getting former Celtic boss Neil Lennon in a playful (we think) headlock outside the Gardener bar earlier this year.

The Spanish Butcher

Funnyman Will Ferrell was spotted going all out at this city centre steakhouse in 2019.

He ordered a massive 1.1kg porterhouse steak, alongside a 900 gram chateaubriand and two side portions of manchego mac and cheese while taking a break from filming scenes for 'Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga'.

La Vita Spuntini

Singer Lewis Capaldi is frequently seen out and about in Glasgow.

Most recently he dined in La Vita Spuntini in the city centre.

The chart-topping star posed for pictures with staff which the restaurant posted with the caption 'Lewis Capaldi loves Spuntini pass it on'

Us too, Lewis.
