It's finally time for one of the most eagerly anticipated openings of the month as 63rd+1st welcomes its first customers today.
The New York inspired bar and restaurant has found a home in the city centre, adding a huge touch of vintage glamour to Bothwell street.
The bar boasts a beautiful ‘club style interior’ with plush velvet couches and black and white artwork which give the space a truly transatlantic feel.
Robert B. Cook, CEO of 63rd+1st, said: “The team have been working very hard on the launch of the Glasgow venue for some time and we are excited to see our vision come to life.
“It brings something new and distinctive to Glasgow’s food and drink scene, and I believe it will be a very exciting addition to the city.”
It's the perfect place to unwind with a handcrafted cocktail like their ‘Don Draper’ made with bourbon, bitters and Lagavulin 16 Essence.
An aptly named drink for a place that looks like it could easily have been used for the filming of a Madmen episode.
The food at the new city centre hotspot sounds just as tempting as their drinks with sharing plates like Truffle Arancini with parmesan or Queenie Scallops with Gruyere and Garlic and a brunch menu with classics like Eggs Royale or Benedict to start your day in style.
Sian O’Brien General manager of the bar said: “This cocktail bar and restaurant has so much to offer – it is a place where you will get great food, drink and company
“From handcrafted cocktails accompanied by amazing sharing plates, to delicious dishes perfectly paired with a bottle from our extensive wine list, you will have so many options to choose from, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our first guests this weekend.”
This is the second bar of its kind to open in the UK as a new concept from TGI Fridays who started their first restaurant on 63rd + 1st street in New York back in 1965.
