SHE is a renowned bookworm and shares her top reads twice a year with fellow book lovers.
And now Nicola Sturgeon has given the stamp of approval to a bookshop in her Southside constituency.
The First Minister paid a low key visit to Outwith Books in Govanhill, one of several independent bookshops in the area.
Bookseller Natialie Whittle revealed on social media that Ms Sturgeon "picked a great bundle featuring Colson Whitehead, Nadifa Mohamed and Sarah Moss among others".
It was such a pleasure to meet @NicolaSturgeon and to talk about books, Glasgow and life before and beyond Covid. An honour to have the First Minister as a book buying customer - we hope you enjoy your weekend reading material. Thank you! pic.twitter.com/U3joKuEo2z

The SNP MSP for the area is also well known for her impressive and well-stocked bookshelves, which regular feature in the backdrop of broadcasts from her home.
Let's hope she has room on the shelves for these new purchases.
