It might be too early to start talking about Christmas…but what about Boxing Day?

It’s certainly not for Mackie’s of Scotland who have just announced that they will be releasing ‘Boxing Day Curry’ flavoured crisps later this year.

Arguably the best part of Christmas dinner is the leftovers which is exactly the inspiration behind this exciting new flavour.

Glasgow Times:

Shelley Reid, brand manager at Mackie’s, said: “Our research shows that Scots, in particular, absolutely love a curry using turkey and the trimmings.

“It was then a case of capturing that flavour and I think our team have nailed it.

“It’s hearty and herby and immediately conjures up the luxurious curries cooked up in the days after Christmas.”

Glasgow Times:

Fans of the Scottish company’s crisps year round will no doubt be familiar with their usual festive flavours like Pigs in Blankets or Turkey and Stuffing which we’re glad to hear will also be returning this year.

However, it’s the new Boxing Day Curry flavour, which has been in development since March last year, that really has us looking forward to some holiday sofa snacking.

“Our new Boxing Day Curry crisps will continue to build on this reputation and present customers with a limited edition pack to savour and enjoy over the 12 weeks up to and including Christmas.”
