I think most couples can agree arguments often start over which type of takeaway to get.

I love a traditional fish tea while my other half is forever wanting an Indian or a kebab. We often compromise at a push with a Chinese.

I decided to see his point of view for a change and try an Indian after a friend of mine had been raving about her local - India Quay in the city's Finnieston.

Glasgow Times:

I remember trying this place over a decade ago before a show at the SECC with another pal who loved an Indian and I really enjoyed it.

It has been in the city for years and I am sure many of you have enjoyed a meal there before going to the Hydro or Armadillo with its doorstep location to Glasgow's entertainment complex.

So now I wanted to put the takeaway to the test and to my joy I found them easily enough on the Just Eat app.

Glasgow Times:

We decided to order the starter platter which comes with a variety of traditional Indian starters and sauces including onion bhaji rings, samosa and pakora. The portion we got was huge, it came with a couple of sauces and salad - and was tasty. It was also not too spicy and had just the right amount of kick for an Indian starter. Let's face it you have to save yourself for the main.

Next up I went for the vegetable Tikka Masala while my other half had the chicken Tikka Rogan Gosht both served with boiled rice and chips. We also ordered chapatti and garlic naan.

Glasgow Times:

My main was delicious and I might go in so far to say I am converted to Indian takeaway. It was packed with flavour and the garlic naan was a real delight.

My partner loved his curry and raved about the traditional offering of the chapatti.

The food we received across the board felt like the restaurant quality we hoped for and despite India Quay being around a 20 minute drive away from our home, the meal was piping hot which was just a bonus.

So would I order again? Of course I would with double portions of garlic naan of course.
