TWO people were rushed to hospital after a crash on a busy motorway yesterday.

Officers responded to the M77 southbound between junctions one and two after the alarm was raised at around 3pm.

Police confirmed that the driver and passenger of one car were taken to hospital.

One lane was blocked while the vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder for recovery.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 3pm on Friday, October 8, to a report of a crash involving three vehicles on the M77 southbound between junctions one and two.

"One lane was blocked while the vehicle were moved to the hard shoulder for recovery. The driver and passenger of one car have been taken to hospital."
