OVER 2,300 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Scotland in the last 24 hours, according to the latest figures.
The Scottish Government confirmed that 2,363 people have reported positive test results for Covid-19 since Saturday.
This is a decrease from yesterday's figure of 2,417 new cases.
A further 29,419 new tests for Covid-19 were conducted that reported results, of which 8.7% were positive.
This is an increase from Saturday's positivity rate of 8.1%.
In the last 24 hours, one death of someone who tested positive for Covid-19 within the previous 28 days was registered, though the Scottish Government notes that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends.
The number of people being treated for Covid-19 in hospital is now 935, with 54 patients in intensive care.
So far, Scottish vaccination figures show 4,253,765 people have received the first dose of a covid vaccination and 3,861,899 people have received their second dose.
