A talented city chef has launched a new Indian restaurant in Glasgow after ten months of cooking from home in the pandemic.
Pratap Negi worked hard during a period of uncertainty to open Curry Cottage on Cambridge Street on October 7.
Negi previously ran a curry shop on Buccleuch Street until the pandemic forced him to close his doors in December 2020.
He and his wife Kavita then began cooking meals from their own kitchen and delivering them to loyal customers.
He wanted to help his faithful followers by continuing to serve them high-quality Indian cuisine but missed the front-of-house experience that comes with running a restaurant. He said: “I like to see the people, have the people come in.”
Now Negi is keen to keep the doors open and have as many customers as possible.
He said: "I am very happy to have my own business.”
