MARK WARBURTON has sensationally claimed former Rangers media chief Jim Traynor 'didn't work for him' during his time at Ibrox.
The former Gers gaffer revealed he "didn't get on" with the PR boss as he discussed his time north of the border on Graham Speirs' Press Box podcast.
Warburton spent a year-and-a-half at the helm at Ibrox working alongside Traynor, but has admitted the pair had a difficult relationship.
Discussing the thought of responding to criticism from former players and in the media, Warburton said he'd rather bite his tongue in those circumstances.Ā
But he went on to reveal his strained working relationship with Traynor at Ibrox.
He said: "I'll be very blunt. I didn't get on with the so-called head of media at Rangers.
"A guy with a very big reputation apparently in Glasgow.
"But I always felt, and as many others did, that he was not working for, certainly for me.

"I think really you look at it and think, if you do respond you're just adding fuel to the fire.
"You're far better biting your tongue, letting things calm down."
Warburton left Rangers in a sour exit when the club 'accepeted resignations'Ā from himself, David Weir and Frank McParland.
The trio have consistently denied ever sending letters of resignation to the club.Ā
