A DISTINCTIVE gold watch has been recovered as part of a police investigation and cops are searching for its owner.
It has unique engravings and officers found the timepiece after conducting enquiries into a string of alleged thefts in the Hamilton area.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with alleged thefts that took place on October 1 on Montrose Crescent in Hamilton at around 1am.
He was due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on October 4.

Officers recovered other goods worth in excess of £700 as part of the investigation.
