A DELIVERY driver was threatened with a knife by a callous thug who demanded money. 

The incident happened in Magdalen Way around 6.50pm last night. 

The takeaway driver was in a black Ford Focus when the suspect leant in the window and allegedly pulled a knife on him. 

The suspect then ran off.

He is described as a white man with a local accent, slim build and sunken around the eyes. He was wearing a navy blue jacket with the hood up and dark coloured trousers. He may have some facial hair.

Detective Constable James Campbell, of Paisley CID, said: “Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this but it was a frightening experience for a man who was simply doing his job.

“I'm appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any relevant information to contact us.”
