NHS Lanarkshire has doubled its capacity for drop-in centres after reaching a significant milestone of administering one million doses of the covid-19 vaccine.

Due to increased demand for vaccine appointments, NHS Lanarkshire will be hosting drop-in clinics at  Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility and  Motherwell Banqueting Hall, South Lanarkshire Council Headquarters, Hamilton Saturday 23 October to Sunday 23 October 8:15am to 4pm.

The clinics will be run on a first come first served basis and members of the public are advised that they should expect a significant wait.

Drop-in clinics are for first and second doses only and cannot be used for third doses, boosters or the flu vaccination.

Tom Elrick, General Manager for the covid-19 vaccination programme in Lanarkshire, said: "Reaching a million doses is an incredible achievement and would not have been possible without the continued dedication and hard work of our NHS and council colleagues.
