A Southside is reopening with a brand new look this week as part of a £600million investment plan from the supermarket giants.

The Auldhouse Retail park location will open with a ‘more customer-focused layout’ on Thursday 21 October at 8am.

The revamp will see 1,041sqm of retail space with dedicated sections for fresh Scottish meat and fish,  award-winning Scottish craft beers, wines and spirits, and an improved Food to Go section, offering a choice of fresh salads, sandwiches and sushi for busy customers.

Aldi Store Manager Gordon McDonald said: “The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves.

"We’re committed to making sure that the shopping experience each customer enjoys in our stores is on a par with the products and services they’re used to."

The store currently employs 21 members of the local community and bosses say the that the new refurb will lead to more vacancies.
