A MAN and woman are due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court today after being charged in connection with a serious assault in the city centre.
The pair - aged 35 and 30 - will be in the dock at the city court, following the incident on Union Street yesterday afternoon.
We previously reported that a man was taken to hospital following the alleged attack on Thursday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 35-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman have been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault that took place around 1.10pm on Thursday, October 21, 202 on Union Street, outside Glasgow Central Station.
"Both are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, October 22.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
