A MAN has been accused of keeping his lover in a flat while he was suffering from coronavirus.

Anthony Prutton allegedly engaged in a course of behaviour which was the abuse of his partner or ex-partner.

The 29-year-old is claimed to have acted across three days in January this year at a flat in Glasgow's Shawlands.

Prosecutors state Prutton repeatedly shouted and swore at her as well as threaten her with violence.

It is claimed he called her derogatory names and made demeaning remarks towards her.

The charge alleges Prutton took her mobile phone and dear and threatened to destroy them.

Allegations also include accusing her of theft and "refusing to allow her to leave the property while knowing that he was infected with Covid-19."

Prutton is also said to have thrown her against a wall, seized hold of her body and repeatedly coughed and shouted at her.

It is claimed this was done to the alleged victim's injury and to the danger of her life.

Prutton pled not guilty to the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A further hearing was fixed for next month.
