Depending on your mood you can go to a musical, have a wholesome day with the family or even just have a bevvy, there are plenty of things to do this Saturday and Sunday in Glasgow.

To tickle everyone's fancy we've headlined the top five activities to give you some ideas for your weekend.

  • 'Bat Out Of Hell The Musical at the King's Theatre Glasgow

This 'electrifying' musical is inspired by Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell album and has a playwright written by Jim Steinman.

The 'Best New Musical' will unite the entertainment values of musicals and the energetic levels of rock 'n' roll for Glasgow's theatregoers.

The show is being performed twice on Saturday from 2:30 pm till 7:30 pm with tickets available from £13.00 to £97.50.

The show is not recommended for children under the age of 12.

  • Boo’sy Pumpkin Carving at Festival Village in the Merchant City

The 'Boo'sy' day takes place on Saturday and is aimed for people to 'come and have a laugh' - and get drunk whilst carving pumpkins.

However, there is a family day on Sunday with a prize for the best-carved pumpkin - don't worry the 'Boo'sy' is not in the title.

  • An orchestral interpretation of Dr Dre 2001 at SWG3

Back by popular demand, No strings Attached have a treat with performances from various DJ's, lyricists and singers, leading up to the rendition of Dr Dre's 2001 album.

The event is from £18.90 plus booking fee and will take place at SWG3 Studio Warehouse Glasgow, G3 8QG at 7 pm.

Attendees must be over 14 and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Beauty and the Beast Afternoon Tea at Knightswood Congregational Church

'Be our guest!' is the church's headline, the exciting fundraiser is taking place to raise funds for their pantomime of Beauty and the Beast. With dressing up as your favourite character from Beauty and the Beast being encouraged (yes, even for the adults) and there will also be a surprise visit from Belle herself.

The event is free and will take place from 2 pm till 4 pm on Killoch Drive.

  • Harry Potter workshop with live owls potion making and more at the Coachman Hotel

The magic begins when the children are transported to Hogwarts, and is hosted by qualified childcare staff with PVGs, meaning it is strictly only children allowed!

Age six plus (no adults though) and taking place on October 24 in the Coachman Hotel from 11:30 am till 1:10 pm.
