Rod Stewart will play a Glasgow gig as part of his 2022 world tour.

The singer has announced he will perform at the Ovo Hydro on November 29, 2022.

He will hit the road to promote his 31st studio album, The Tears of Hercules, which will be released on November 12.

The album includes the first single, One More Time, available today on all digital and streaming services.

The Tears of Hercules is a project close to Stewart’s heart, especially the song “Touchline,” which he dedicated to his father, who taught him and his brothers to love football.

In the album’s sleeve note, Stewart wrote: “I’ve never said this before about any previous efforts, but I believe this is by far my best album in many a year.”

Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, October 29 at 9am.
