Lidl on Hopehill road in Maryhill is set to open its doors this Thursday 28 October following a full refurb and extension.

The shop, which opens at 8 am, will create up to 10 new jobs for the local community and features an in-store bakery, customer toilets and car parking facilities.

As part of Lidl’s Feed It Back scheme the shop will be providing surplus produce and customer donations to local charities like The Everlasting Foodbank.

Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property Gordon Rafferty, said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in the refurbishment and extension of the Lidl store in Maryhill.

“It’s fantastic to be able to offer people a superb shopping experience, while also creating more jobs.

“The unit has been transformed and will better serve the community through job opportunities and an enhanced customer experience for even more shoppers."
