A MAN will stand trial next year accused of choking his ex-lover to the danger of her life.

Adao Paulo allegedly assaulted the woman at a property in Glasgow's Ruchill in January this year.

The 37-year-old is said to have seized her by the neck and throat and compressed it.

Her breathing allegedly became restricted all to her injury and the danger of her life.

Paulo faces a separate allegation of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the same time and place.
