Christmas parties are back on the calendar this year and with the opening of the new ultra-cool Cellar at Stravaigin, the holiday season can't come soon enough.
The new space is open now for party bookings and events judging by these gorgeous photos we're sure the Gibson street restaurant will be in for a busy winter.
Owners Carol Wright and Colin Clydesdale, who also own Hanoi Bike shop and Ashton lane institution the Ubiquitous Chip, say they are excited to be inviting large groups back to their venue after a year of navigating covid restrictions.
Carol said: “This has been a passion project for us. We love hosting events but weren’t able to for so long – it’s given us plenty of time to create the perfect space for destination private dining.
“Our mission is to Think Global and Eat (and drink) local. In creating this space, we looked to some of our favourite hidden cocktail bars for inspiration.
“We want to provide a space where people can escape from the world and enjoy vibrant events, interesting company, and showcase our incredible, locally sourced food and drink. It will certainly be a talking point!”
Plush decor, a full cocktail bar and a stunning ocean-inspired mural give the bar a relaxed and welcoming feel, perfect for celebrating special occasions.

The Stravaigin team plan to use the space for events like their ‘Cellar sessions’ which will showcase the talents of some of the city’s best folk musicians.
Head Chef James MacRae has created special menus for The Cellar – with options to suit every occasion including a party menu, festive menu, a three-course seasonal menu and a six-course tasting menu.
Recently named as one of the UK's 50 best gastropubs and featured in this year’s Michelin Guide, we can't think of a better place to celebrate the return of group dining.
