A BUSY road in Glasgow city centre was reportedly blocked by protestors this afternoon.

Social media users reported that traffic on Union Street was held up due to large groups on the street.

Pictures show buses stopped on the road as crowds gathered in the area.

One person said: "Huge police presence at the anti-colonialism March just now on Wellington Street."

Police confirmed they are in attendance but there is no roadblock around Union Street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "There is no roadblock around Union Street. Officers are in attendance at a protest but this continues to move through the City Centre."
