TWO PEOPLE will stand trial next year accused of having a mass gathering at their flat during lockdown.
Lorrie Malcolm and Ellie Ross allegedly culpably and recklessly allowed the assembly at the property in Glasgow city centre's Sauchiehall Street on January 21 this year.
Prosecutors state 27 people attended the flat in which a number of police officers were required to attend in order to disperse them.
It is said the pair - aged 22 and 21 - exposed themselves and others at the gathering, including police officers, to the risk of "coronavirus infection during a global pandemic."

The two suspects face an alternative charge that they contravened The Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Scotland) Regulations by allowing a gathering of people within their flat and did attend the gathering where 29 were inside.
The pair pleaded not guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
A trial has been fixed for April next year while a hearing has also been set for March.
Malcolm, of the city centre's Blythswood Hill, and Ross, of Ballyclare, remain on bail meantime.
