A CITY centre Lidl store is set to reopen following a full modernisation and extension. 

The supermarket on Jamaica Street will reopen to customers on Thursday, November 25 at 8am. 

As part of the company's ongoing expansion and regeneration plans, the store will now feature a sizeable in-store bakery and customer toilets. 

During the first week of opening, customers at the city centre branch will be able to find a number of exclusive deals including a water jet flosser for £9.99 on the opening day, and a £12.99 crepe maker on Saturday, November 27.

Lidl GB's regional head of property Gordon Rafferty said: "We would like to thank all those who have played a part in enhancing the shopper experience for our Lidl store on Glasgow's Jamaica Street. 

"It's fantastic to be able to offer the local community an even greater range of our high quality and affordable produce. 

"We look forward to welcoming our loyal customers back."

The store's opening times will be between 8am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday.
