FUNDING has been approved to relocate Parkhead Library into a new East End Hub.
Glasgow City Council has approved £444,238 of funding to move the library into the proposed Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) to serve the North-East of Glasgow.
The Hub will be located in a site bounded by Duke Street, East Wellington Street, Nisbet Street and Salamanca Street, and will bring together a range of HSCP's services.

Cllr Kenny McLean, city convener for neighbourhoods, housing and public realm at Glasgow City Council, said: "The approval of this funding marks the next step into the delivery of what will be a fantastic community asset for the North-East of Glasgow, bringing together key services in one location and continuing the area's regeneration."
Today's approval of funding is in addition to £2.5million from the Community Hub Fund which was approved in September 2019.
