With many sectors experiencing a skills shortage, Glasgow Clyde College offers a wide range of exciting courses to kick start a career journey, and a snapshot are showcased below:

Professional cookery:  Unleash your inner MasterChef and step into the kitchen. An excellent gateway to the hospitality industry, you’ll learn everything from baking skills to food hygiene.  From Jamie Oliver to Gino D'Acampo, all of the greats started somewhere – and that was often a local college course.

Fashion and textiles: If you’ve an eye for fashion, why not pursue it for a living? A fashion and textiles course lets learners explore this stylish sector. From the catwalk to the shopfront, this class is an excellent stepping stone into a highly sought after industry.

Cyber Security: The threat from online fraudsters has never been higher, continually innovating to find new ways to swindle hard working people. This course teaches students about how to prevent these attacks and stop them in their tracks. Getting the chance to enter national ethical hacking contests, this is a future proofed career-path which gives keyboard warriors a good name.

Spa Therapist with Complementary Therapies: Sometimes we all need to pause and unwind. Fine tuning your facials or mastering massages are all in day’s work, opening doors to spas, beauty salons and alternative therapy clinics. Helping people relax for a living can be extremely rewarding.

Horticulture: Pruning plants, sowing seeds and garden grooming make horticulture an extremely popular course for lovers of the outdoors. With options to work for professional landscapers or gardeners, you can quite literally grow your career by studying horticulture at Glasgow Clyde College.
