Love Island's Liberty Poole will be wearing a Scottish brand when she makes her Dancing on Ice debut in the New Year.

The 22-year-old has become the face of Lola's Lashes, which was launched by Edinburgh-based Fraser Angus and Daniel Morris, a Glasgow University graduate, in 2019.

In a short space of time it has become the UK's number one selling magnetic lash brand, leading to collaborations with major players including Pretty Little Thing.com and House of Fraser. They recently launched in store in the United States and are due to open an outlet in Edinburgh this month.

"I've always loved my lashes but a few years ago I started having an allergic reaction to the latex in the glue so when Lola's approached me and said their lashes were magnetic, I didn't suffer any reaction," said Liberty.

Glasgow Times:

"They've got such a wide range, I couldn't have picked a better brand to work with. I always take them along with me when I'm getting my make-up done."

She says her favourite style is the Russian Super Curl Collection and is happy they are vegan-friendly.

The Love Island star is currently putting in tough two-hour daily training sessions for the upcoming series of ITV's Dancing on Ice, which will kick off in January and said, proudly, that she's just learned to do a pirouette.

She said: "It's quite tough but I'm really loving learning a new skill. Everyone keeps saying my mum was a figure skater but she wasn't, she just skated for four years.

Glasgow Times:

"I feel the pressure but I'm just being a normal girl, I've got no dance experience and I've got no flexibility!"

She says she's enjoying life after Love Island and the experiences it has thrown her way and is still in touch with some of her former housemates.

"I still speak to them but obviously I've been quite busy. I speak to Kaz the most regularly."

She said she isn't disappointed that she didn't find lasting love on the show after coupling up with Jake Cornish on the first episode.

"I just sort of went in there and didn't have any preconceptions. I just thought, I've been given this amazing opportunity.

"All my friends had had nice relationships before and I thought, if I find someone that would be really great but I think I went in almost looking for love and I feel like when you are looking for it, you don't find it.

"I was sort of looking for love to fix me but I found self worth and that's priceless. It will come around at the right time."
