UPDATE: St Vincent Street: Hunt launched for occupants of plush car who fled scene after crash in Glasgow
GLASS and pieces of metal have been left strewn across a city centre road in Glasgow this morning after a late-night crash.
A parking meter has been removed from St Vincent Street after an orange car smashed into it last night at around 10.30pm.
The stretch of road between West Campbell Street and Blythswood Street was quickly closed by emergency services, with a police diversion put in place.
A video seen by the Glasgow Times shows the front of the car badly damaged as a result of the smash.
Pictures from the scene this morning show orange cones erected where the parking meter once stood.
A green substance has been scattered over the crash site.
It is not yet known if anyone was injured.
The Glasgow Times has approached police for comment.
