ROCK band The Fratellis have paid tribute to legendary music photographer Mick Rock on social media. 

Mick Rock's death, at age 72, was announced on Friday. 

The Fratellis shared a photo on Twitter of the band taken by Mick and said they were "saddened" to hear of his death.

The tweet said: "The Fratellis family are sad to learn of the death of legendary photographer Mick Rock. 

"We spent some weird & wonderful days out with Mick in the noughties listening to his incredible stories, and had a ball during this shoot at the Columbia hotel in 2006. 

"RIP Mick.x"

Dubbed 'The Man Who Shot The 70s', Mick Rock photographed the biggest stars in music, including Queen and the Rolling Stones, and was the official photographer to David Bowie.
