A man has been arrested in Rutherglen after a road traffic collision with a police vehicle.
At around 10:20am this morning Tuesday, November 23 a 32-year-old man driving a car crashed into the vehicle on Duchess street.

It is alleged that the driver attempted to flee the scene but soon abandoned his car on nearby Victoria street.
While no injuries have been reported, a section of Duchess road remained taped off this morning with police vans in attendance.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 32-year-old man has been arrested following a road traffic collision involving a car and a police vehicle on Duchess Road in Rutherglen shortly after 10.30am on Tuesday, 23 November.
“The car initially made off before being abandoned on Victoria Street.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
