IMAGES show how streets in Glasgow city centre could look after a regeneration project by Glasgow City Council (GCC).

GCC revealed impressions of how Sauchiehall Street and Cambridge Street might look after the Avenues project is completed. Glasgow Times:

The plan is to revamp the precinct of Sauchiehall Street from Rose Street to Buchanan Street at the junction of Bath Street. 

GCC aim to create a welcoming environment for shoppers and enhance the pedestrian area. Glasgow Times:

Avenues is an ongoing city centre wide investment of £115 million which aims to make spaces in Glasgow more "people-friendly", more attractive, more environmentally friendly, more sustainable and more economically competitive.
