THE sudden death of an elderly woman in the North of Glasgow is not being treated as suspicious, Police Scotland have confirmed. 

We previously reported that officers were called to the scene outside of an address on Stirrat Street in Maryhill at around 3.25pm yesterday.

Following a post mortem examination, police said the 83-year-old's death is not being treated as suspicious. 

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the sudden death of an 83-year-old woman outside an address in Stirrat Street, Glasgow around 3.25pm on Friday, December 3.

"Following a post mortem examination, the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
