A MAN was hit by a car in Glasgow's city centre.

The incident happened around 7pm on Thursday, November 27 on Sauchiehall Street, near the junctuion with North Street.

The 37-year-old was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing, when a dark colourcoloredjunctioned vehicle struck him, leaving him with serious injuries.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and the 37-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Police officers are looking to speak with the driver of a dark-coloured vehicle, who stopped at the scene.

As they continue their inquiry, they also urge anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Gemma Blackadder from the Road Policing Unit said: “This has left a man with serious injuries and we are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward.

"You can do this by contacting 101 quoting incident reference number 3165 of 25 Nov 21.”
