GLASGOW band Altered Images appear to have revealed their new album for 2022.

Lead singer Clare Grogan announced on Twitter that she was adding "finishing touches" to the upcoming release, Mascara Streakz. 

She wrote: "It's really happening! Some new music coming your way 2022. Just adding some finishing touches."

The tweet was deleted shortly afterwards, but the link to pre-order the album is still available. 

The new wave band behind hits such as Happy Birthday and I Could Be Happy achieved success in the early 1980s but have been quiet since. Glasgow Times:

But back in September, Gregory's Girl star Clare revealed that she had recorded a new album for the first time in 38 years along with members Bernard Butler and Stephen Lironi. 

She wrote: "Yippee! It's official It’s official I have recorded a new #AlteredImages album after 38 years with more than a little help from my friends!

Altered Images are currently supporting fellow 80s group The Human League on a UK tour. They will make an appearance in their native Glasgow at the OVO Hydro on December 9.
