A ROAD in the north of Glasgow was closed this morning following a two-car crash. 

Emergency services responded to the scene in the Springburn Road area after the alarm was raised at around 11.35am. 

The road was shut to southbound traffic between Petershill Road and St Rollox Brae. 

Glasgow City Council's traffic control and management (TRAFFCOM) team confirmed that the road reopened to traffic shortly after 12.30pm.

Officers said vehicle recovery has been arranged. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.35am on Sunday, December 12, officers were called to the Springburn Road area of Glasgow, following a report of a two-car crash.

"Vehicle recovery has been arranged."
