A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault on a woman in Clydebank.
The 17-year-old is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court at a later date.
The incident happened on Hawthorn Street on Sunday, December 12, shortly after midnight.
Following the attack, the 26-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.
Police officers are still investigating the assault and continue to urge any witnesses to get in touch.
