Library staff are urging book lovers to return thousands of overdue items to their proper home.
East Dunbartonshire libraries had introduced an overdue fine amnesty, but this is due to end on January 17.
As the deadline approaches, they issued a plea for over 10,000 books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs and games to be returned for free, so others in the community can enjoy new and beloved stories.

The items are still on loan from before the pandemic but libraries throughout the area began waiving fines at the start of lockdown in March 2020.
This will continue until January 17, regardless of how late the item is.
Library bosses say Connect & Collect will remain in place and the Home Library service will continue to deliver books to those who can't visit the library.
Jim Neill, chair of East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust, said: “We hope this amnesty will encourage more people back to their libraries to discover new thrillers, bestsellers and award winning novels - as well as films, music and games.
“Library books and resources belong to all East Dunbartonshire residents and so it’s important that our libraries are well stocked and items are returned so they can continue to be shared with other members of the community.
“We’re asking people to have a look around their house, check cupboards and book shelves as there may be a library book or item you’ve forgotten about.

“It doesn’t matter if your book is two days or two years late, you can return it for free until 17 January 2022 and the staff will ensure it is back on the shelf and ready for borrowing.
“It’s now easier than ever for library members to keep track of their loans, online, by telephone, by visiting the library or using the EDLC Libraries App.
A wide range of eBooks, eAudiobooks and digital magazines are also available for members to borrow from home.
Throughout 2022, there will be special events in all libraries to celebrate Visit Scotland’s Year of Stories.
