A MAN will stand trial next year accused of stealing five motor vehicles.

Robert Daniel, 31, allegedly stole the three cars and two vans between April and June this year.

Prosecutors state Daniel took a silver Ford S-Max from an address in the Glasgow's Anniesland on April 30.

He is then alleged to have stolen a Ford Transit van from a property in the city's Hyndland between May 18 and 19.

Court papers state Daniel forced entry into a separate Ford Transit in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire, between May 19 and 20.

It is alleged he attempted to steal the van.

He is further alleged to have stolen a red Ford Fiesta and a quantity of tools at a property in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, between June 10 and 11.

Daniel is also charged with stealing another Ford Transit van from a property in Glasgow's Shettleston on June 25.

He is lastly alleged, while acting with another, to have stolen a red Ford Focus from a property in Lennoxtown, East Dunbartonshire, on June 23.

Daniel pleaded not guilty on Tuesday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the six charges.

A trial was fixed for April next year by sheriff John McCormick.
