SCOTTISH BALLET has announced the cancellation of all its Glasgow and Edinburgh dates of The Nutcracker because of new Covid restrictions.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Due to the new restrictions announced by the Scottish Government today, we must cancel all performances of The Nutcracker between December 29 and January 15. This will affect our final shows at Festival Theatre Edinburgh and all performances scheduled at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow in January.
“We are sorry for the disappointment this may cause.”
The remaining tour dates in Aberdeen, Inverness, Newcastle and Belfast will go ahead if circumstances allow.
