THE weather was not kind in April 1952, but these fans were all wrapped up at Hampden for the Scotland international against England.
It ended two goals to one for the visitors, but imagine how wild this crowd went when Lawrie Reilly scored for Scotland...
Elsewhere in 1952, Jock Stein was in action for Celtic, who he guided to nine successive Scottish League championships between 1966 and 1974 and the European Cup, in 1967.
And Willie Thornton was playing for Rangers. He is one of Scotland’s all-time top goalscorers, with 138 league goals to his name.
