A MAN has been taken to hospital following an alleged disturbance in Glasgow in the early hours of Christmas Eve.
Emergency services were called to Sauchiehall Street, near Caspian Kebabs, at 12.25am.
The area was taped off whilst a police investigation was carried out. A 27-year-old was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries during the "disturbance".
Another man, aged 23, was hurt and treated at the scene.
Meanwhile, police arrested and charged a 31-year-old man. He is due to appear in court next week.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow around 12.25am on Friday, December 24, 2021.
“A 27-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment for serious injuries. A 23-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
“The 31-year-old is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, December 27.”
