A MAN is accused of sending sexual messages to a schoolgirl over a gaming application.
James McNeil, 36, allegedly committed the crime from his home in Glasgow's Blairdardie between July 2018 and 2019.
Court papers state McNeil did this intentionally for the purposes of obtaining sexual gratification or of humiliating distressing or alarming the 15-year-old child.
It is alleged that he communicated indecently with her in that he sent messages of a sexual nature over gaming applications and social media applications.
McNeil, who was not in attendance, pleaded not guilty on Friday to the single charge through his lawyer Thomas Tierney.
A continued hearing was fixed for next month by sheriff Andrew Cubie.
McNeil, who is not ordered to attend the next hearing, remains on bail meantime.
