PLANS for a new block of flats in Glasgow's East End have been approved.
Thenue Housing Association (THA) will build 10 new homes in the building at 44/46 Dalmarnock Road in Bridgeton.
The site formerly occupied a blonde sandstone tenement with a pub on the ground floor and six, single bedroom flats above, however, this has been demolished.
Proposals do not include parking spaces. However, the expected tenants of the flats will be "elderly and/or financially restricted", according to a design statement.

It goes on to read: "Both groups have low car ownership levels and there will be the inclusion of accessible mobility scooter parking in the basement".
A backcourt area will be built as well as a communal bin store, and "sun spaces", which are described as "an accessible activity space and a connection to outdoor space".
