A MAN was arrested and charged over a string of shoplifting incidents in Glasgow's West End.
The man allegedly made off with several items totalling thousands of pounds from a variety of retail premises.
Police Scotland confirmed that the man was charged in connection with the crimes and received a custodial sentence as a result.

A spokesperson said: "A male has been arrested and appeared at court for a series of shopliftings totalling several thousand pounds at a variety of retail premises within the West End.
"He has received a custodial sentence as a result.
"Good work from your local community police!"
