A NUMBER of high-value housebreakings in one Southside area have resulted in police setting up a mobile office.
Several homes in South Nitshill have been targeted between November last year and now.
Cops were deployed to Whitacre Road today to provide public reassurance and encourage anyone with information to come forward to help with an ongoing investigation.
Ryan McMurdo, local community policing inspector, said: "Between November 2021 and January 2022, there have been a number of high-value housebreakings in the South Nitshill area and enquiries are ongoing in that regard.
"Officers are currently carrying out mobile patrols and have stationed a mobile unit in the area to provide public reassurance and would encourage residents to approach these officers with any information or concerns they may have.
"Officers will also be providing crime prevention advice, including home and personal security advice.
"Police are working closely with the local community and elected members with regard to the incidents."
Officers will be based in the area of Whitacre Road in S.Nitshill to address concerns regarding acquistive crime. The mobile office will be resourced between 1130 & 1400hrs and 1800 & 2000hrs today with further increased patrols throughout the day. @HumzaYousaf @Cllr_Rashid pic.twitter.com/ut9D3jNZSJ
