A MAN was arrested after a police search recovered drugs worth around £26,000 in a Wishaw property.

The search was carried out at May Gardens in the town on Friday, January 14.

Along with cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis, a four-figure sum of cash was also seized.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the bust.

Sergeant James Mutter, who leads the Lanarkshire Division’s Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit, said: “We are actively responding to intelligence received and are on the ground making as many interventions against the drug dealers and those using drugs as we can.
